Split Shot Dispenser

The Split Shot Dispenser comprises at tube, typically brass, a base, and captive cap of wood or polymer such as Delrin. The cap is maintained in place by an elastic band.

The dispensers can be stored in a pocket individually or, as I prefer, as a group of multiple dispense shot sizes linked together on a key chain. When pinned to the shirt or vest, the dispensers are readily available adding convenience when making frequent shot changes.

The dispenser comprises a cap, tube, base and elastic band which keeps the cap captive when not dispensing shot. No additional fastening components or cement are required as explained in U.S. Patent 10,179,676.

The dispenser with spring-loaded captivc cap allows dispensing with one hand as shown below. Pushing the cap up with the thumb and index finger lifts the lid , allowing dispensing of the shot..

When the dispenser is hanging from its bottom end like it is in the key ring configuration, dispensing a single shot is unusually simple and easy. Only one hand is needed to open the cap which is under spring tension, just enough to allow a single shot to drop out. Grasping it between two fingers, it is then ready for pinching onto the line without further ado.

The usual steps of retrieving the split shot container from a pocket amidst other items, holding the container in one hand while removing or twisting a lid with the other, dispensing the shot and restoring the container to the pocket are eliminated.
